The name being derived from a myth about 'The Kraken' - the most fearsome sea creature ever to live.

Distilled in pot stills on the Virgin Islands and fermented from naturally sweet molasses from sugar cane grown on nearby river banks. Natural yeasts are used to ferment the water thinned molasses, which is converted directly into alcohol. The rum is distilled to 97.5% alcohol.

The rum is aged in Oak Barrels for between 12 and 24 months before being blended with spices including cinnamon, ginger and clove.
